Review of The Panic in Needle Park (1971) by Tim W — 10 Oct 2012
Pacino's first starring role shows him in top form (this is the movie Coppola saw that convinced him to put Pacino in The Godfather) as a NYC street junky. Despite a good cast and a documentary-style vibe of the subculture, it's still a little stiff and boring.
Still worth a watch, especially as a period snapshot of a NYC that's long gone...
