Review of The Panic in Needle Park (1971) by Paula K — 30 Nov 2013
A fantastic look into the characters behind a heavily drug fulled lifestyle, Al Pacino plays his part of heroin addicted Bobby with enthusiasm and honesty, Kitty Winn's potrayal of a nieve young woman in the wrong place at the wrong time is unforgettable in this gritty, shocking but above all responsibly truthful study of herion addiction, There are several other actors making up the rest of the cast who all play their parts with passion.
Each supporting character is very believeable this film contains no airs, graces or glamorising of drug use, thereby making it in my opinion one of the greatest "drug movies" of all time (so far ).
...loved the ending..simple, poignant and accurate to these doomed characters.
