Review of The Oxford Murders (2008) by Vincent W — 10 Feb 2013
No matter how much you want to like this, it is mathematically impossible. A plot so convoluted, it would be unintelligible to its own boffins. Leanor Watling offers the film's only interesting performance as a damaged young woman and love interest for Elijah Wood's wooden protagonist.
The surrounding rabble of Midsomer extras barely even phone it in. But frankly, with a plot this poorly conceived, no amount of acting could have saved it. Just woeful.
