Review of The Ox-Bow Incident (1943) by Neal W — 28 Sep 2007
Runs at a jam-packed 75 minutes and is quick and straight to the point. It can be considered an "anti-western" (In the sense that it didn't glorify the "old west", and it was filmed on soundstages instead of out in the open desert).
Today, it still holds up well as a sometimes preachy but biting indictment of the single-minded, destructive mentality of mob rule.
