A very good slow burner western. I don't think anybody besides Clint could pull the role of Josey Wales; he's excellent here. He does for spitting in this movie what Franco Nero did for lighting matches in A Professional Gun.
While this isn't as good as any of the installments in the Dollars trilogy, it's a must-see for fans of Westerns. It's more of a character study of Wales than the classic Western formula, but even non-western aficionados should enjoy the hell out of this.
