Maybe it's just because I've been watching a lot of Westerns lately, but The Outlaw Josey Wales doesn't strike me as anything special. It's a run-of-the-mill revenge tale with Clint Eastwood playing the same role he has a dozen times before.
This isn't a bad movie-it has an interesting story, good acting and sweeping landscapes-it just doesn't really stand out from the rest.
