Review of The Opposite of Sex (1998) by Pierluigi F — 23 Jul 2011
I've heard a lot about this movie and never had the time to watch it. It's funny and sometimes cruel but a lot of the grotesque and parody situations are often placed on a extremely real life level. So it's a movie that, even when it looks funny, makes you think about many things.
The sentimental streams of several characters are intertwined and Christina Ricci plays a perfect fit role for her Bitchy behavior that starts a domino effect in the life of everybody. But - to me - the real queen in this movie is Lisa Kudrow.
It's an OK movie that - if you like absurd normality and crazy meaningful speech - you could probably like too.
