I thought this was going to be a horrible comedy. Turns out, it's dark and full of surprises. The acting isn't very good (Christina Ricci is annoying, Martin Donovan plays the only role he can play, and Lisa Kudrow has some particularly terrible moments) and the writing is stale at times, but somehow the movie is a fun ride.
