Review of The Omen (1976) by James M — 26 Apr 2010
Like Donner's "Superman", his "Omen" takes itself very seriously: the fantastic score by Jerry Goldsmith is haunting, Donner's camerawork is both imposing and creepy, and Gregory Peck's performance adds tons of credibility.
Not as terrifying or mesmerizing as "The Exorcist", this is still a first-rate psychological horror film.
