Review of The Omen (1976) by Erin B — 07 Apr 2012
Robert Thorn's (Gregory Peck) son dies shortly after his birth. A clergyman advises Thorn to adopt an orphan before his wife comes to know of the misfortune. He obeys out of concern for his wife's mental well-being. Little does he know that the adopted child is the Antichrist...
Otherwise frivolous and facetious, The Omen owes big time to a commendable and a dignified performance by Gregory Peck and a thrilling and stimulating background score by Jerry Goldsmith. Watch it especially for them.
