Review of The Omega Man (1971) by Andrew H — 04 Jun 2009
The great part of The Omega Man is its intensity. The movie moves well and is suspenseful when it wants to be. As a kid this woul have scared the crap out of me. However, nowadays the effects and themes are fairly outdated. The cinematography is pretty poor, with many of the shots looking like shaky one-takes.
What I will say is that Chuck Heston (may he rest in peace) does a great job talking to himself and making it sound like someone else is there.
