Review of The Offence (1973) by Douglas P — 15 Sep 2008
Sidney Lumet directed this rarely seen but extremely tight crime drama adapted from a stage play by John Hopkins. Easily the best work of Sean Connery with an equally brilliant performance from Ian Bannen.
Tough dialog and unique visual touches make this one of the great lost films of the 1970s.
