We're all a little nuts!

A squirrel responsible for losing all of the nuts in the park finds himself exiled. Not too long after being exiled, he bumps into some of his old friends. They decide to work together to try and find new nuts from a small store to help feed the animals of the park. Meanwhile, humans are attempting to rob the same store.

"Hey boss, I'm going to lick your face.".

Peter Lepeniotis, director of Gotta Catch Santa Clause and Bolts & Blip: Battle of the Lunar League, delivers The Nut Job. The storyline for this picture was fairly standard for the genre and a bit cliché. The animation was better than I anticipated and the voices were well selected and include Liam Neeson, Brendan Fraser, Will Arnett, Katherine Heigl, and Stephen Lang.

"Fire in the hole!".

"I'm going to kill you!".

I grabbed this movie off Netflix as it was recently added to the online library and I thought my daughter and I would enjoy this flick. I did think it was okay but my daughter loved it (for sure). The animation is very good but the story is straightforward and nothing special. Overall, I'd see this once with your child but wouldn't add it to their DVD collection.
