Review of Curdled (1996) by Zaar D — 25 Mar 2006

I'm beginning the rather lengthy task of entering into the database every film I have seen, at least those I have a decent memory of. Some may have the briefest of reviews while many will just have a number. Those films that I consider personal favorites and/or those that have some historical signficance I will add later when I have time for more lengthy reviews.

[b]Curdled[/b] is an awful movie about a woman fascianted with violent crime who happens to work for a cleaning service that specializes in cleaning up crime scenes.

[b]The Nutty Professor[/b], directed by Tom Shadyac, marked the comeback of comedian Eddie Murphy. This remake features Murphy in several roles, making the best of his talents. It's a fun, albiet lightweight film. Also features Jda Pinkett Smith, Dave Chappelle, and James Coburn.

[b]Mr. Holland's Opus[/b], directed by Stephen Herek, stars Richard Dreyfuss as a man who hopes to write one signficant piece of music before his death. Instead he ends up teaching music in a high school. The film follows his long carreer as well as his relationship with his wife and deaf son. Dreyfuss is excellent as Glenn Holland. The cast also includes Olympia Dukakis, Glenne Headly, and William H. Macy. A good but extremely sentimental film.

[b]The Legend of Bagger Vance[/b], directed by Robert Redford, is a period sports drama starring Matt Damon, Will Smith and Charlize Theron. Golf as a spiritual journey equals boring film.
