Review of The Nut Job (2014) by Sonicspeedo92 — 19 Sep 2018
The Nut Job has gotten a surprisingly huge amount of hate. But I thought it was a solid movie for what it was.
Positives: The animation is surprsingly decent. You have some nice CG and a decent colour scheme. The voice acting is great. Liam Neeson especially does a fantastic role here. He will find you. And he will kill you, lol. And I found the plot mildly engaging and somewhat fun. Negatives: Surly is a d**k, the Brendan Fraser character is one of the most annoying characters in existence, Surly is a d**k, the jokes are dumb at times, and did I mention that Surly is d**k? Because he is. Overall, Nut Job is an enjoyable movie for what it is. It's not great, but it's good enough for children to enjoy, and tolerable enough for adults to sit through. 7/10.
