Described as a "documentary-horror" film, The Nightmare aims to provide insight on the condition known as Sleep Paralysis by using real life testimony and dramatic reanctments to portray the terrifying images and experiences that many of its sufferers encounter.
The problem is that the film lacks any depth or scientific study to deem it a documentary. And offers little to no scares to deem it a horror film. Instead, we get a film that may have been better suited for a cable network.
