Much like with "Room 237," Ascher doesn't seek reliable sources or the wisdom of those who have specialized in the matter - the matter here being the science or theology regarding sleep paralysis.
He does, however, weave a sensory experience out of his subject's nightmares, even if he has stretched their content far too thin.
