Review of The Night of the Iguana (1964) by Andrew J — 01 Aug 2008
Deborah Kerr's humanistic outburst was indeed one of the most gripping passages I have experienced in cinema. Williams' acumen for the diversity of rationales humanity can constructs reality by is presented so succinctly in his dialogue.
Burton's character lacks faith as he vainly attempts to find it beyond humanity. But Kerr masterfully refocuses his spiritual aptitude, showing him the connection one can find with the universe through humanity.
Excellent.
