A mess of a move that didn't know whether it wanted to be funny, serious, ironic, dramatic, or what -- and was often just gross. Kim Basinger walked through it. The stars were good but their characters made no sense.
It was far more stylish than it was anything else, but nowhere near stylish enough to justify more than half an hour of screen time. It makes an effort at noir but not much of one.
