Review of The Nice Guys (2016) by Simon T — 02 Oct 2016
Smug, occasionally amusing buddy buddy pastiche, featuring a tortuous and rather nasty plot that links pornography, city corruption and catalytic converters. Shane Black (writer-director) penned the Lethal Weapon series and this could well be an old script relocated to seventies LA and turned into a vehicle for Ryan Gosling and a very fat Russell Crowe.
There are better ways of wasting a couple of hours.
