Review of The Next Man (1976) by Richard D — 13 Jul 2014
If you can get past the extreme implausibility of Sean Connery being cast as a Saudi Arabian diplomat, you'll find that this is an extremely dull film. After his predecessor is assassinated, Connery comes to New York to address the United Nations and announces sweeping changes to OPEC and relations with Israel.
People threaten to kill him, he wanders around New York, dates a British woman, and it all culminates in a twist everybody has seen coming for the last hour.
