Review of Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018) by Richard D — 28 Aug 2018
Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) is under house arrest after the events of "Captain America: Civil War" and has had a falling out with Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) and Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly). They are reunited when evidence surfaces that suggests that Lang may be able to help them find Janet Van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer) in the Quantum Realm that she's been trapped in for decades.
Lang becomes Ant-Man again to help them make some impressive tech nonsense work. Black market dealer Walt Goggins and super villain Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen) also want this tech for various reasons. This is a pretty damn good Marvel flick because it's light, genuinely funny and relatively small in scale.
A lot of the action sequences hinge on stuff rapidly and suddenly changing size and you know, I never got sick of that. Stay after the credits roll to see how this movie connects to "Avengers: Infinity War".
