Review of The NeverEnding Story (1984) by Leslie A — 15 May 2012
Okay, this seems really similar to The Lorax, plot-wise. Mystical, beautiful land gets ruined by humans exploiting it/taking it away, one young person is given all that is left to bring it back, which he must do through exhibiting some facet of positivity.
A contrived polt to be sure, and coupled with crazy old-school animatronics and some accent-slippage, I can't say this was my favorite. Barret Oliver is adorable, acts well, and is the redeeming quality of this film.
