Review of The NeverEnding Story (1984) by Andy S — 02 Aug 2018

I love the overall feel of this movie. Definitely 80's and definitely reminiscent and genuine. The special effects are pretty insane. Especially the part when the rolling creature comes out of nowhere. The animatronics are a delight. Very original and creative way how they approached how to film certain scenes.

The soundtrack is impressive with all it's synth sounds and moody music. I guess the horse was depressed this whole time lol. I'm just being very cynical. It was impressive to see how the horse handled that scene under all that pressure. Poor animal.

That one turtle creature is so useless. That old elf couple were pretty funny. That wolf character seemed to be the most interesting of them all. He sort of represents the evil behind evil in real life. Plenty of things and lessons to take from this charming movie.
