Man this movie gets weird in its last 35 minutes. I actually enjoyed the first hour and 15 minutes of this film, but then it turns into a horror film kinda outa nowhere. Director Nicolas Winding Refn returns three years after directing Only God Forgives (2013) and brings a super stylized and beautifully cinematically shot film, but it's lacking in direction and dialogue for that matter at times.

The movie follows a young 16 year old model named Jessie (Elle Fanning) who comes to Los Angeles and is immediately disliked by other models for her natural beauty. There's more to it than that, but explaining anymore would seriously spoil the movie.

Like I said it takes a sharp turn left out of nowhere and it really kinda threw me off. It's downright creepy what happens and for me it just didn't work. I loved the soundtrack and the art direction, but outside of that I just wasn't feeling this one by the end of the film.
