Typical Refn fare, which is to say, style over substance. That's not to say the substance isn't there. However, Refn balances the scales just so, keeping the substance from drowning in the visuals - the visuals are gorgeous, by the way.
Better than Only God Forgives and Valhalla Rising, not as good as Drive or Bronson.
