Review of The Nanny Diaries (2007) by Warren S — 16 Jan 2010

When I started watching this, I did not know that I would get so involved in the story and end up liking it. It seemed that it would be very predictable... the bad parents... too snobby and don't pay attention to the child or each other; plus a nanny who ends up loving the boy and can't leave.

But with good actors like Scarlett Johannson (who is the star even though her name is not top billed on Flixter's list) and Laura Linney, you can't go wrong. I thought it was quite good and there is one scene in particular that I thought really made the film, where the nanny discovers the hidden cam.

I think it was a B+ film.
