Review of The Nanny Diaries (2007) by Darren C — 05 Feb 2013
I'm not going to say I was dying to see this. But sometimes you have to take a chance on these things. That is how all the unexpected gem movies have shown up in my life, so I try to remember that.
The Nanny Diaries isn't awful. It's not as cute as you might think. And it certainly makes me angry that they likely aren't exaggerating how some of the Upper East Side families are (Jenn and I have been to Central Park, and we often commented that that person was "probably the nanny" and not that particular child's parent).
No disrespect to Nannies. MUCH disrespect to anyone who treats their child(ren) like the family in this flick. It's a solid C+ as a movie.
