Review of The Name of the Rose (1986) by Charles C — 23 May 2008
Best medieval type film ever made, dropping an early renaissance William of Occam (under the name William of Basquerville)into the world of Medieval scholasticism to educate the savages as to the rules of Occam's razor.
The irony is great! Umberto Eco wrote the story as a tongue in cheek thinking man's murder mystery, and hit gold. This flick rocks.
