Review of The Name of the Rose (1986) by Jummi H — 03 Sep 2009
Great scenery, beautiful photography, and excellent casting. You can tell it is an adaptation of a novel though. It plays out at times a bit like a survey of the novel's plot, rather than a story in its own right.
Nevertheless, Sean Connery delivers the goods, and the subject matter is very rich.
