Oh gosh, I didn't read the book. But this movie obviously sucks hardly. The performances suck, maybe just Sean Connery's interpretation is better. I like detective movies,but not this one. It didn't surprise me in the end...
I didn't recognize a young Christian Slater, he's cute, but that doesn't save him...
