The best film on medieval religious issues and a murder mystery combined make a rare combination. This film is truly a mind puzzle, and a powerful gripping story. Sean Connery is outstanding and plays a very different role from his usual action hero genre.
F. Murray Abraham is excellent as the zealot everybody loves to hate. One of my favorite films.
