Review of The Naked Kiss (1964) by Ben S — 12 Aug 2009
"She never makes change." A disturbing psychological noir. Prostitution, pedophilia, physical handicaps, abortion. Beginning with the opening scene in which Kelly brutal beats her pimp as he pulls off her wig and reveals her shaved head, the film uses a series of bizarre images to confront everything polite society in the early 1960s sought to avoid.
A bit melodramatic, though.
