Review of The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad! (1988) by Dave W — 03 Jul 2013

This movie is sharply written, perfectly cast, and can be watched over and over again. Leslie Nielson is great as the deadpan Lieutenant Frank Drebin. O.J. Simpson showed great acting skills, too. Though his life has spun out of control, but that should not take away from enjoying this film.

The film moves with quick dialogue, visual jokes, and slap stick comedy. It often layers puns, with visual cues, and other jokes while using effective dialogue to move the story toward it's outrageous climax that takes place at a baseball game.
