Worst narration of all-time. It's tough to pull off good narration but when you use a smart-ass, sarcastic gumshoe type to narrate, forget it. Shot on location in NYC in 1948, "The Naked City" benefits from some beautifully stark cinematography that ultimately saves the film.
The chase at the end is great too.
