Review of The Naked City (1948) by Joel A — 18 Mar 2015
All those films where "the city" is supposed to be "another character"? Well, this is the real deal. New York looks alive, real and magnetic in the brilliant on-location shots. I want to go to there.
Unfortunately the other characters aren't worth writing home about (honourable exception to the Irish cop).
