Review of The Naked City (1948) by Dan G — 07 Dec 2009
"There is a pulse to a city, and it never stops beating." Or never starts beating, in this movie. Aside from some great on location cinematography of 1947 New York City, for which the movie won an Academy Award, this movie turns a murder mystery into a boring documentary with voice-over narration about the detective beat in New York and about everything involving the city along the way.
