Review of The Naked City (1948) by Stefanos T — 21 Feb 2011
I know this film is most distinguished for being shot in location but The Naked City has more merits than that. The plot is just another story from the 8 million stories that happen in New York City as the narrator says.
There's been a murder and a couple of investigators trying to figure out the murderer. At first it doesn't sound much interesting but the naturalism of this film matched with great dialogue and great acting make Naked City one of the essential film noirs.
