Review of The Muppets Take Manhattan (1984) by Paul H — 29 Jan 2012
More muppet characters are introduced such as Rizzo the rat and others join in for this under appreciated film. Kermit and the gang decide to go straight to the big city and take their chances with a musical that will either be a success or a flop for Broadway.
The movie itself shows the lighter side of New York with great musical numbers and celebrity cameos. But things take a turn for worse when the show is about to be produced and Kermit gets hit by a taxi causing him to have amnesia.
That part right there and the musical number "Saying goodbye" may not be good for the little ones but the film still picks itself up and is fun for the whole family with songs you'll keep singing as the credits roll and after the film is over.
