Review of The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008) by Kathleen R — 10 Jul 2011
Why can't everybody just sit back, and enjoy this wonderful movie. The critics want the studio to wrap-up "The Mummy" franchise movies that we love. The ones who love "mummy" movies never get tired of them.
Critics love to use colorful words, and enjoy using negative puns because it will make people laugh. They are stuffed shirts that can't enjoy anything that is too outlandish. These types of movies are supposed to be fanciful and absurd.
They're suppose to be full of things we wish could be possible. We can escape our hum-drum lives and be in another world for a couple of hours. I'm 67 years old, and have always loved these adventure movies.
I thought this movie was exciting and very imaginative. I think the Yetis were adorable. To me, a beautiful immortal woman with powers who guards the temple for 2000 years is romantic. I also loved the old 1965 movie, "She", with Ursula Andress because it had these same traits.
Please don't take away our fanciful absurdity, it's what helps us to be able to continue on with the absurdity of real-life.
