Review of The Mummy (2017) by Terry C — 24 Jun 2017
Frankly, this is a Tom Cruise movie tried and true. But that is fine for me because I like to see a Tom Cruise movie not really because he is a great actor, but is somewhat of a genre by itself (though no wear near the Nicholas Cage genre) and for his ever increasing level of personal stunt sequences.
. The Mummy does not have a very story going for it. They are obviously doing some larger cinematic world-building, which does interest me to pay attention to it in future. But there were elements that really were odd.
The good has to be Sofia Boutella as the new mummy, giving an interesting yet tragic villain.
