Review of The Mummy (1959) by Private U — 28 Oct 2008
My favourite Hammer film. Christopher Lee is superb as the ancient Kharis; obviously he's physically imposing, but he's also able to gain audience sympathy despite having his face imobilized by make-up: Watch his eyes.
Peter Cushing is always reliable, and Terence Fisher's direction is again outstanding.
