Your typical 50's b-movie. Nuclear radiation mutates ordinary animals into gigantic flesh-eating monsters. The military is called in to save the day, aided by a super smart scientist and his lovely, female assistant who later turns into a love-interest and scream maker.
Pure goofy shlock, but entertaining.
