I better have him investigate the bottom of the sea before someone else is killed.
An earthquake in the Salton Sea unearths prehistoric mollusk eggs. The eggs hatch unleashing gigantic beasts. The people who reside by the sea will need to prevent the mollusks from spreading and find a way to exterminate them.

Arnold Laven, director of The Glory Guys, Sam Whiskey, Rough Night in Jericho, The Rack, Geronimo (1962), Slaughter on Tenth Street, and Down Three Dark Streets, delivers The Monster that Challenged the World. The storyline for this movie is fairly straight forward for the monster genre; however, the action sequences and monsters were better than I anticipated. The acting was also appropriate for the content and the cast includes Tim Holt, Audrey Dalton, and Hans Conried.

Turner Classic Movies (TCM) now has monster movie Thursdays. They generally play 4 straight classic monster movies and we DVR'd this science fiction classic to give it a shot. This was surprisingly entertaining and well done. I was always a fan of the Sci-Fi restaurant at MGM Studios in Florida because it previewed these old school classics while you ate...now I get to actually watch them. I will be seeing as many of these pictures as possible moving forward!
