Review of The Monster (2016) by Aaron H — 11 Feb 2017
This movie is further proof that a fresh rating is frequently meaningless. There is almost no plot whatsoever and seems like a series of random vignettes of people trying unsuccessfully to evade a man-eating monster.
The most interesting part of the film for me was the exploration of the dysfunctional relationship between alcoholic mother and daughter, but it wasn't enough to salvage this. I don't take saying this lightly, don't waste your time.
