Review of The Mist (2007) by Maaike V — 27 Dec 2012
The Mist is a horror film that neatly combines elements of human extremes and qualities into a truly smart, believable, and frightening experience. Not one for only senseless thrills The Mist captivates you with the unknown using different human incentives.
It's not only about the horror, the entity causing this menace; it's about the horror of the human response to types of situations like these. It's not ground-breaking in general but its smart entertainment.
Including some creative sequences of horror related to death. I love supernatural and exterrestial horror. The Mist is a good film to watch for the first time. A second, it may seem a bit duller. Ultimately, it is a film that contains a simple coherent script and one of the most shocking and horrific endings in recent memory.
