This movie surprised me. Usually the films we'd watch in religion class in high school were rather stupid....but for all the lengthy narratives and VERY slow pacing at times, this film was quite moving and beautifully shot.
Ennio Morricone's score is a masterpiece, as always from that incredible composer.
