Review of The Mission (1986) by Uros T — 01 May 2008
Beautifully shot, atmospheric account of Jesuits taking different sides on the violence vs. peace debate. At first I thought De Niro was miscast, but he is effective in the film's second half.
For me, this film belongs to Ennio Morricone, who can do no wrong as far as I'm concerned. Amazing score!
