Review of The Mission (1986) by Jeremy N — 17 May 2008
There may be no such thing as the perfect film but this visually sumptuous movie comes pretty close. Jeremy Irons (whose best work prior to this was in the kids' tv show 'Playaway') and Robert De Niro are both excellent and there is a fine supporting cast.
Ennio Morricone's music should have easily won an OSCAR but didn't!
