Review of The Mission (1986) by Artemis C — 15 Jan 2010
Vocation movie #1, and not just for consecrated life but for all to answer Christ, to imitate and follow him regardless of one's previous attachments. A very difficult flick for the uninitiated. I'd imagine one must be adequately catechized to properly understand what's it all about.
Otherwise, it'll be just another religious movie with killer soundtracks and MAJESTIC scenery. Keywords: vocation, conviction, obedience, regret, conscience, and of course.. Love of God.
